The ascent, quite easy at the beginning from the Col de l'Encombrette, gets a little tougher at the end, requiring a bit of hands-on effort, without being either exposed or very technical. The view of Lake Allos is quite breathtaking.

Do not hesitate to continue on the Grande Tour which also offers a beautiful panorama and a nice, not difficult route.
