On a clear day you can enjoy a wide view from Kästrich over Mainz to the Taunus. The view is set in scene at this point with an archway. Almost 100 meters in the direction of "Am Römertor" you can see the remains of the ancient camp gate, as well as the large stone slabs of Via Praetoria.
