If you do not want to cross the Llano, you can at least overlook the Llano from the Mirador del Jable on the LP-301 road.

The volcano Tacande is located above El Paso in the northern part of the Cumbre Vieja. It is the first volcano to emerge from seven volcanoes that have arisen since the Spanish conquest. The Tacande volcano is also called Montaña Quemada.

Its huge lava field can be seen very well on a hike to the Bejenado.
On the hiking trail PR-LP 14 you can hike through the lava field.

The lava first ran north due to the topography, the lava flow made a left turn to the west. The lava flow of the Tacande volcano flowed south past today's El Paso and stopped at an altitude of approximately 370 meters at today's Dos Pinos. The lava flow has a length of about 8 kilometers.

The volcano erupted at the time of the Spanish conquest of La Palma by Alonso Fernandéz de Lugo. Its eruption time was determined from 1470 to 1490.
The Tacande volcano (1362 m) can be climbed from the west side in about 35 minutes. The sweaty climb is worth it and will be rewarded with a fantastic view. However, I can only recommend the climb for sure-footed hikers. It is steep and slippery (lava ash).

Really great paths right through the lava ash. It looks like the moon. Simply spectacular. In between there are pine trees that simply grow in the black lava. You just have to go there.
