Mountain biking
In this section the trail intersects some old transhumance paths for grazing, as well as several specimens of large oak and terebinth. The name of the trail is linked to an ancient bovine breed, the "podolica", still raised today in the territory of Martina Franca. The podolica is the most rustic of the Italian breeds and probably comes from Podolia (Ukrainian region). After the fall of the Roman Empire it spread along the Adriatic coast from Veneto to Puglia Gargano.
