Engelbert's chair and his view of the Lennetal

North of the ruins Schwarzenberg, near a high rock on the Lenne, is located in the rock, a seat-like depression.

The legend tells that Count Engelbert of the Mark was said to have sat here with preference and was resting there from his battles and feuds.

From here, the count should have looked with special pleasure on his land on the Lenne. Even today, this rock chair is called the "Engelbertstuhl".

As an ideal combination, after visiting the "Schwarzenberg Castle Ruins", make a detour to this beautiful vantage point. Below the ruins of the footpath branches off there.
