Frauenkirche Bad Radkersburg

A bit hidden, but still worth a detour here.

A super nice tour, all asphalt roads, highly recommended, unfortunately in Slovenia few places to stop for refreshments

In 1496 a chapel was built on what was then Judenplatz, the site of a presumed former synagogue, which today forms the choir of the church. The new building of the nave was carried out according to the inscription on the main portal with Ruep. Kummer Bürger and Fischer zu Radkersburg 1643 in the tradition of a late Gothic hall church. Remains of the former cemetery can be seen on the south side of the church. From 1749 until the border was drawn in 1920 on the Mur River, services for the Slovene-speaking population were held in the Frauenkirche, which was also a garrison church. The church was restored in 1962 and 2006 on the outside and in 1967 on the inside.Source: Wikipedia
