La Font de la Tartana is located on the left hand side, at the foot of the main road to Can Torres, once you have left behind the farmhouse of Can Solà del Racó.

The water fountain has been protected with a quadrangular plant construction (4.10 m. deep by 3.20 m. front), protected by a stone structure similar to a vaulted hut of dry stone that reminds by assimilation, of a tartan.

It is built on sloping land, excavating towards the interior, until you find the water source. The back wall and the sides have been built from consecutive rows of irregular stone blocks to form a semi-circular arched vault, with the stone arranged in book folds and wedged with rubble. Later it would have been plastered with lime mortar. On the vault, you can partially see the traces left by the reeds.

The facade is open, with two pillars about 0.50 m thick, one on each side added later to strengthen the construction (patches of modern cement mortar can be seen in the joints which have re-cracked ). After the pillars it seems that the facade extends in the form of a fan. These are two retaining walls of the earth that act as buttresses, balancing the pressure exerted by the orography of the land towards the vault.

The sink or sink is made of stone, slightly truncated-pyramidal, about eighty centimeters high with a frontal opening that allows the sink to drain. Above it is a push-button faucet placed a little more to the left than an older orifice. Above the register protected by an iron gate. An old hole is located a little further to the right. On both sides of the walls there is an attached stone bench 0.50 m wide. The one on the left forms an "L" with the back wall until it is attached to the sink.

The floor, formerly made of rammed earth, is protected by interlocking local stone slabs that partly protrude beyond the facade. An iron grate allows the water that protrudes to be evacuated through a concealed channel that runs beneath the current floor.

The place is shady, in an area where oak predominates with an undergrowth of arítjol, galzeran and grass characteristic of humid areas. The space is arranged with two wooden tables and benches and a couple of bins, and treated wooden railing protections.
