The wealthy Viennese donor Isidor Raschka had the chapel built in Obersulz on the basis of a pledge in 1906 and painted the chapel's altarpieces himself.

The occasion was the scarlet fever disease of his two daughters.

The whole family can be found in these pictures of the chapel: the guardian angel, who bears the facial features of his wife, leads two girls who resemble his daughters to Mary with the baby Jesus.
