Marian Grotto Einbach

A really nice grotto ...

For many years already, on the evening of Whitsun Sunday, members of the parish of St. Michael, Waldhausen, wander to the Marian Grotto in the Filialort Einbach, two kilometers away. It was built down in the Elzwald in the 30s of the last century by the stonecutter Anton Schell. Then as now, devout worshipers from Einbach and the surrounding area come to the grotto, which is lovingly decorated with flowers by women from the village. On the Sunday evenings in May, many meet to honor Mary. Among them are former Einbacher, even former expellees, who found their first home in the village and then turned in their distress to the Mother of God for help.

Very nice place in the middle of the forest, nice place to rest, linger and be thankful.
