Cevide, the Northernmost Town in Portugal

Cevide is the northernmost point in Portugal, in the municipality of Melgaço. It is the village that welcomes the border of the number 1 border with Spain, between the banks of the river Minho and the river Trancoso.

The village of Cevide is located in the municipality of Melgaço and has less than half a dozen inhabitants. It has the Trancoso River at its feet and, as a neighbor, Galicia.
