This cycle route is probably the best in the area, if you follow it and continue till you reach the bridge that goes over the main A689 , then continue over that the route actually carry s on and goes past a beautiful area at the Hurworth Burn Reservoir, in fact if you follow it to it's end using the Hart to Haswell cycle route you will reach its end near Hartlepool .It runs for approximately 15 Miles from it's start point as castle Eden/Thorpe Thewles.
All totally free of cars, sheer bliss !!!
