Sunny corner for a short or longer break with wooden sun loungers overlooking Lake Tegel. Beer gardens and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

"I love Tegel" writes: "The London district of Greenwich has been a partner of the district of Reinickendorf since 1967. As a sign of friendship, there is a red telephone booth in Tegel, a red fire alarm and two English cannons, which the district received as a gift in April 1983. The two cast-iron cannons from the 18th century are located on Kanonenplatz directly on the shore of Lake Tegel. The guns were made by Scotsman William Carron of Falkirk and were formerly used for British coastal defence. They weigh 2 tons each.”

The Greenwich Promenade is particularly notable for its British telephone box and British post box. These were presented as a gift by the Royal Borough of Greenwich as part of the town twinning.[6] Equally special are the two cast-iron cannons from the 18th century on the so-called Cannon Square. The cannons, also a gift from the London Borough, probably come from Scotland and were used for coastal defense. Between the cannons there is a boulder on which a commemorative plaque explains the cannons.
