The village of Libingen (approx. 300 inhabitants) lies in a western side valley of the Thur (Libingerbach, further down Dietfurterbach). It's quiet, with no through traffic, and serves as a starting point for hikes and MTB routes to Hulftegg, Schnebelhorn and Chrüzegg.

At the back of the valley is a small village. The heart route 99 runs through here. There is a good value for money restaurant with very nice service. The road leads to the village on one side of the valley and away from it on the other.
