Erlabrunner Lake

Wonderful local recreation area with toilets, kiosk and showers. You can even bring your own grill.

The Würzburg Hiking and Recreational Area Association has built a large local recreation area with 2 bathing lakes on a 19-hectare site in Erlabrunn's district, approx. 7 ha of which is water. It includes large lawns, children's playground, barbecue areas, volleyball field, table tennis tables. In nice bathing weather also catering. Admission year-round, (during the daytime) free. Dogs are not allowed.

"The Erlabrunn bathing lake, the classic bathing lake that everyone knows because it is not too far from Würzburg. A paradise for children and families, as the lake goes in relatively flat and has a number of attractions to offer, such as a cable car, leading to a small island.

There is also a grill zone where you can sweat even more. On nice days there is quite a lot going on here and you need a bit of luck to snag a parking space. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle, you should go to the smaller lake on the right. There are fewer families there and everything is a little more relaxed."

You can have a good barbecue in a designated area.
There isn't much shade on the sunbathing area - a parasol or tarp makes sense.
