The priory of Buchholz was founded at the beginning of the 12th century as a branch of the Benedictine Abbey of Gladbach. It is located in the municipality of Burgbrohl in the district of Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate. The former monastery buildings are now used as a farm. The only partially preserved church dedicated to St. Servatius is one of the earliest vaulted basilicas in the Rhineland and is a protected cultural monument. (Source: Wikipedia)

Mountain biking

Remains of the Saint Servatius basilica are still standing from the once large probstei Buchholz. The aisles and the transept unfortunately fell victim to wars and lightning. Occasional music events take place here.
