From the Scharnitzjoch you have a great view over the green mountain meadows down to the Leutaschtal and the mountain ranges of the Arnspitzgruppe and the Karwendelgebirge behind. From here you can climb the Gehrenspitze over the relatively easy Westgrat.

You need a little head for heights and sure-footedness here, but the path itself is not too difficult. From up here you have a dream view of the Wetterstein Mountains!

On the climb up to the Scharnitzjoch, there are actually these happy cows and beautiful horses. The woolly animals also looked very relaxed.
