Salisbury Plain is a vast chalk plateau encompassing 300 square miles (78 km2) in the south of England. The plain hides all manner of interesting ancient things including long barrows, tumuli and, of course, Stonehenge.
Large tracts are used for military training and much of the plain is seemingly unending grassland. This section has a road and an adjacent byway from which grass stretches out as far as the eye can see.
