Between Arenal and Cala Santanyi, this is the only resort in southern Mallorca. The hinterland is flat and used for agriculture. The place is divided into two, the hotel area east of Paltja Es Carbo and the 'old town' with the port. The 4 km long coastal promenade (Holzbodenweg) connects the two parts.

A rather quiet place on Mallorca, far away from Ballermann and Co.

Originally a fishing village, the lively coastal town of Colonia Sant Jordi in the south-east of Mallorca has become much more than just sea creatures. It is located almost at the southernmost tip of the island in the municipality of Ses Salines and attracts active, sporty visitors. With our abcMallorca travel tips, you are just a step away from discovering the best of Colonia Sant Jordi and being enchanted by all the natural wonders that surround this unique town.

Today, the town relies heavily on tourism as a source of income, and modern high-rise buildings alternate with traditional stone townhouses. There is also plenty to see and do in the area surrounding Colonia Sant Jordi, especially during the holiday season. Then several beaches compete for bathers, including the lively Platija d’Es Port at the large marina and the more tranquil bays of Es Caragol, Es Carbó and Ses Roquetes, which are protected from the wind and lure with calm waters.
