Established in 1858 and now part of a UNESCO World Heritage-listed cultural landscape, the park combines natural bushland, open green spaces and significant colonial-era heritage sites. There are walking and cycling paths that wind through the park, connecting riverbanks, picnic areas and historic landmarks while providing a peaceful green space in the heart of Parramatta.
