A small memorial to the crew of B24 42-50597 which crashed during take off on the 19th December 1944 while attempting to deliver air support at the battle of the bulge.

The memorial is at the side of the field and not directly visible from the road. At the entrance to the field there is a wooden public footpath sign. The memorial is on the left, about 20 meters away next to the hedge.

Sorry for poor quality photos. I will try and take better ones another time.

Located behind the hedge on the broad bend by the wide field entrance.

Update August 2025. The memorial has been restored and is now in very good condition - see newer photos.
