Built by the Hesbaye - Condroz single-track company (although operation was entrusted from the start to the Belgian State Company), the line will inexorably experience competition from the road after the Second World War and gradually lose the essential of its service.
Until 2011, only the Moha quarry (operated by the Carmeuse group) was still served from Statte, at the rate of about one train each week.
