This exquisite house was built in the early 16th century, around 1515, and sits in the Somerset village of Crowcombe. Once used as charitable accommodation and a school, the church house is now a village hall and much loved by local residents.

In the 1500s, church houses were built to keep churches themselves for worship only. At the church house, church ales would've been held, festivals for the parish.
