Alpe San Michele is located at an altitude of 887 meters: it connects Valcuvia with Valtravaglia. At Alpe San Michele it is possible to admire the medieval church of the same name, inside which it is possible to appreciate some splendid frescoes. Furthermore, Alpe San Michele hosts a restaurant, where it is possible to eat local dishes, and is the base for spectacular excursions that allow you to admire Lake Maggiore.

Nice combination of climbs: Passo S. Michele from Mesenzana with a nice stretch at 15% and Cuvignone from Passo S. Antonio are a great challenge. An obligatory stop in the village of S. Michele (before the pass of the same name at 887 m asl) with a visit to the Romanesque church and the viewpoint over Lake Maggiore.
