It is something rare and therefore something special when you suddenly find yourself in a place from your own childhood.

As a child, I was fascinated by Boy Lornsen's novel "Robbi, Tobbi and the Fliewatüüt." It's about the adventures of a boy who is chosen by a robot to help him with his exam at robot school.

You travel in a self-made vehicle that can swim, fly and drive. The vehicle was invented by the boy and, without his knowledge, built by the robot.

Your first task was to find the lighthouse with black and yellow stripes to find out how many steps there are in it.

All my life this was a completely fictitious place for me - until the day I decided to visit St John's Point, near Killough, County Down.

The black and yellow band has been in place since 1954 and serves as a day marker for ships

The famous 40m black & yellow tower at St. Johns Point was constructed in 1839.

Brunel's ironclad ship, SS Great Britain ran aground at the nearby Dundrum Bay in 1846 after the crew mistook SJP lighthouse for one on the Isle of Man.

A fantastic example of one of the many lights maintained today by the Commissioner of Irish Lights based in Dublin.

The fog signal station is still intact and the compressors here powered the huge fog horn which could be heard in the Isle of Man
