Jan Hus is a Czech national hero and unfortunately a somewhat forgotten forerunner of Luther. The Jan Hus memorial is a monumental sculpture on the Old Town Square. It was inaugurated in 1915 on the 500th anniversary of the death of the Bohemian reformer Jan Hus. It often happens that market stalls or other event structures obstruct the view of the monument. Take a seat and watch the tourists and locals go by.
