Hessenwasser's Schierstein Waterworks is located on the Rhine between Wiesbaden and Walluf in Hesse and is part of the Rhine-Main Wiesbaden Industrial Heritage Route. It serves Wiesbaden's water supply and consists of a waterworks for extracting groundwater, a river water treatment plant that was shut down in 2017, and an ecologically important outdoor area designated as a water protection area with a white stork colony.
