A mysterious and very sad memorial stands by the roadside between Trossenfurt and Eltmann, on a field path, a few steps into the forest. A wooden cross with colorful decorations and the inscription "Baby Murder in 1900." Georg Hofmann often stops at this cross – but he has never been able to find out anything about this alleged infanticide. "But someone always puts fresh flowers here. Maybe someone who also lost a child."
