The Guffert is a 2194 m above sea level. A. high, isolated limestone in the Brandenberg Alps (Rofan), which forms a double summit together with the Guffertstein. It is located north of Steinberg am Rofan in Tirol. The Guffert is a popular mountain and can be mastered in a day tour. From the valley town of Steinberg to the summit there are about 1200 meters of altitude, around three hours of walking are required. The summit climb from the south is steep, exposed to the sun and rocky in the upper area. The climb from the north side is nicer and is secured at a critical point with wire ropes and steel steps. There, the pure walking time (due to the circumnavigation of the base clockwise) is almost four hours. For the experienced mountaineer, the Guffert is a very worthwhile tour.

From the summit, the view stretches across the Bavarian Prealps, the Rofan Mountains, the Wetterstein Mountains and the Karwendel all the way to the eastern central Alps between the Stubai Alps and the Hohen Tauern and to the Kaiser Mountains in the east.
