The well-kept village has a beautifully designed village meadow. In the middle of a grove of old trees stands the church, which with its slate-covered tower and its gilded weathervane with the rooster, is the symbol of the place. The large gray stone that gave the place its name is also right next to the church. A legend says: "The devil wanted to destroy the church with the gray stone. But suddenly the church bells began to ring. The power of the devil waned and the stone fell next to the church.” The cornerstone of the church was laid on October 26, 1913. The winged altar from the end of the 15th century is worth seeing. The organ (west gallery) was taken over from the church in Jessen, which was demolished due to mining.
