Crowning the last, challenging stretches of descent here is the beautiful panorama offered by the fort of Exilles, a masterpiece of military technique whose construction seems to date back to the 12th century, but has been remodeled several times to its currently visible form, dating back to the changes made in the 1818 after being destroyed by the Napoleonic army.

Mountain biking

The descent ends with the crossing of the Dora Riparia, on the road that connected Exilles to its railway station, which has been abandoned for years. to go back to the village, the track avoids the asphalt by climbing up a short but steep path that still offers beautiful views both on the fort and on the village of Exilles. The return to Chiomonte, unfortunately, takes place on the SS 24 (caution!)
