Reichstädt is known for the smallest and highest windmill in Saxony, a conical tower Dutch windmill. The millstone, which is made of quarry stone, has a diameter of approx. 4 meters, and the mill itself measures 7.50 meters up to the top of the shingle roof. It was built in 1850 as a "peasant windmill" for its own use and was until 1883 in operation. The later dilapidated mill was restored in 1950/60 and has since been renewed several times.

Information:
Built in 1850, it was in operation until 1883. Efforts to preserve the monument began in the early 1960s, but these efforts were initially short-lived. Finally, in 1983, it was reopened to the public as a demonstration site and technical monument.
