The Strahlenburg castle ruins date back to the 13th century and house an inn. The Anna-Elisabeth mine is a silver and vitriol mine over 700 years old. The mine was listed as a historical monument in 1985 and can be visited as a visitor mine. Above Schriesheim is the historic Madonnenberg vineyard, with a statue of the Madonna and a sequoia tree as its landmarks. The Christian Mayer Public Observatory offers regular lectures. The old town has many historic buildings, such as the Strahlenberger Hof, the old town hall with a pillory, the oil mill on the Kanzelbach stream, the house built by Pastor Widerholt in 1662 with Hebrew and Greek inscriptions, and the Bachschlössel (Bach Castle). Since 2001, a footbridge has led from the old town over the Kanzelbach stream to the festival grounds. The Roman cellar in the new town hall features largely original masonry; It was found during construction work, moved to the basement of the new town hall in 1970 and has been on display there ever since.
