You will find the "cairns" throughout the nature reserve in which the slag heap is located. At the start of the walk (if you come from Thor Park) there is an information board with text and explanation about the how and what (see also the photos). For some, building another small stone man - also called a stone tower - is a kind of puzzle or pastime, others may even set their ambition on building the tallest of this kind. Whatever the motive, you can always find some of these stone, but certainly ephemeral works of art.
