The Madonnina di Pizzo, the statue of "Mary Queen of the Peaks and Mother of Life" which embraces the entire Val Gandino, is located in the town of Peia at 1100 meters above sea level. The chapel built on the top of Mount Pizzo is about 7 meters high with a base on which the statue is placed. The latter measures 4.10 meters in height and 1.80 in width. It weighs 25 quintals.
