💡For a long time, the clay pits were planned to be used as a landfill for the Coburg waste incineration plant. In 2000, the area was bought by the Nature Conservation Association and designated as a nature conservation area. There are some very nice paths around the pits, making it easy to get through by bike. You can even enter the red pit, where there is a very idyllic place to sit 🐐 😃
