In the nearby stone city and also on the surrounding rock walls, the hiker may have admired one or two climbers. Climbing history was written in 1991 at this point in Krottenseer Forst, when Wolfgang Güllich (* 1960) first set out on a climbing route with the "Action Directe", which was the first in the world to be in difficulty 11 (UIAA XI).
For the first 10 years after the first ascent, only three of the world's best climbing climbers tried to repeat it on the route.
The rock looks a bit unspectacular at first glance. Climbing is at 1- or 2-finger holes and tiny bars in the 45 ° overhang. The tremendous inclination only becomes visible when you see it from the side.
