In the forest between Ried and Kemnat
Out of gratitude for the return home, round chapel was erected by soldiers of the Second World War. It stands on a former bombing practice area (the present Waldheim), one of the two observation towers at that time serves today as a bell tower.
The Chapel of Peace can be visited at any time, but is not directly accessible. A look inside, however, is possible through the iron gate. It is located directly on the Carl Carstens trail, which planted there in 1981 a peace linden.

In 1953 8 families settled here and founded the village of Waldheim.
The Peace Chapel was built in the early 1970s to commemorate the victims of the world wars.
