The small town of Feichten is about three kilometers north of Neumarkt-St.Veit on the main road that leads to Landshut. The church of St. Martin, with its Gothic core (built around 1460/70), is part of Landshut's building tradition. Its original ribbed vault is still preserved in the sacristy. The originally Gothic tower in the north now bears a Baroque onion from 1729. The Neumarkt master builder Sylvester Mayrhofer had to carry out a comprehensive renovation of St. would have. In the years 1728 and 1729, pointed arches were created in the choir as well as pillars with bevelled corners, and Ionic pilasters were placed in front of the once Gothic pillars in the nave. In 1984 a ceiling fresco from this renovation period was rediscovered in the choir room: It shows the church patron St. Martin as a rider and coat donor.

As for the bells, Feichten weren't so lucky at Neumarkt-St.Veit. The old bells had to be delivered in 1942 and never came back. They were replaced by three new bells in 1950. St. Martin celebrates its patronage on November 11th.
