Tips

The King Ludwig Oak is a pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) that is designated as a natural monument.
The age of the oak is given as 400-600 years, the trunk circumference is approx. 7 m.

I've known the oak for a couple of years and every time I see it it looks worse.
Due to the high proportion of dead wood in the crown, the area around the oak is cordoned off.

Nice that the old oak tree doesn't look like. Is held together with steel cables and supports.
