Nice, small place with many half-timbered houses in the undulating valley of the Waldecker Tafel. The two rivers Rhene and Bicke converge here. Adorf was first mentioned in 1120 and iron ore mining can be traced back to 1273. The tradition of horse breeding already existed before the Thirty Years War, but is hardly relevant today.

There is a lively club life and some interesting events, such as the Easter market or the Adorfer junk and livestock market. But even without an event, this lovingly prepared place is worth a visit.
