St Neots is a charming town on the River Great Ouse. The town gained a market charter in 1130, rose to prosperity in the 18th and 19th centuries and expanded significantly from the sixties onwards, as people moved out from London.

With its pretty riverside parkland and vibrant nearby nature reserves, there is plenty to interest walkers. Occupying disused gravel pits, Paxton Pits Nature Reserve and Wyboston Leisure Park are two such sites, with plenty of facilities and excellent wildlife spotting opportunities.
