A chapel was built at the current location in Waller as early as the Middle Ages and consecrated to the early Christian martyr Margarethe. After the Reformation, the chapel fell into disrepair, but was rebuilt in its present form from 1717 on the remains of the wall.
Noteworthy are the coats of arms of the 5 former Nuremberg governors Kreß, Tetzel, Orte, Pfinzing and Holzschuher above the archway inside the chapel.
Services are celebrated five times a year in this chapel, which belongs to the Protestant parish of Alfeld.
