The origins of a castle date back to the 10th century. Badly destroyed in the Peasants' War, the castle was rebuilt into a two-wing renaissance castle in the 16th century. In the 17th century, the north wing of the palace was changed to the baroque style. In the middle of the 19th century there was a renovation in the style, with the preservation of the basic form in the style of the Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque. After the Second World War it became a specialist hospital for child and adolescent psychiatry. Sold in private hands after the fall of the Wall and later, in 2004, again foreclosed.
