The castle was the Slovenian residence of Josip Broz Tito after World War II. It is considered to be his last place of residence, as it was from here (1980) that he came to the Ljubljana hospital.

The park is beautiful with many sights, but it can only be visited on foot. But it's definitely worth it.

Nowadays the facility is used for official Slovenian state visits.
