The Brucktor was renovated in 1470/71 by the Wasserburg master builder Wolfgang Wiser. There was probably a gate building at this point from at least the late Romanesque period. The square, crenellated gate tower has a large-format mural on its south side from 1568 with two armored guards, which alludes to its defensive capabilities.

The Inn Bridge or Red Bridge was first mentioned in 1204, but it was probably already there in the late 11th or early 12th century. Until recently, the bridge was made entirely of wood; until the Baroque period, it had a guardhouse in the middle and a drawbridge in front of the Brucktor. It was rebuilt several times over the centuries. The current construction from 1982/83 is based on the appearance of the bridge before the 19th century.

Probably THE entrance to the city ever.
As soon as you walk through, you will be amazed by the city with its old and attractive buildings.
