There are three non-bathing artificial reservoirs that feed the aqueducts of Genoa: Lake Lungo (or Bigio) (684 m) and Lake Badana (in dialect lago de Föggiariônda) (700 m) upstream, Lake Lavezze or Bruno (646 m) ) downstream.
Starting from 1883 the Lavezze, later named Bruno in honor of its creator, the engineer Nicolò Bruno and the Lungo lake were built by the De Ferrari Aqueduct Society. In 1914 Lake Badana was built by the company.
