The three-country point Aachen lies between Germany, Belgium and Holland
The cathedral city of Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany.
It borders on Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Netherlands, or commonly called Holland, is a fairly flat country.
But about 5 km west of Aachen city center is Holland's highest mountain - the Vaalserberg with 322 m.
And exactly on this mountain is the three-country point Aachen - Holland - Belgium.
The exact location is 2 km away from Vaals in the Dutch province of Limburg.
Vaals is a small border town where a lot of Germans live, especially students who study in Aachen. In short, Vaals is almost a district of Aachen.
