Built around 1540, Wythenshawe Hall was home to the Tatton family for over 600 years, and is now owned by Manchester City Council. Surrounded by 250 acres of parkland, the hall was given to the city by Lord and Lady Simon in 1926 for the enjoyment of local people. Run by the Friends of Wythenshawe Hall volunteer group, the Hall is open to visitors on select days.
