The Eichwerder Moorwiesen is a cross-border moor. Gentians and orchids used to bloom in the Tegeler Fließtal. Unfortunately, today only a few species remain as evidence of the rich moor vegetation - but at least today you can discover swamp valerian and snake knotweed, for example. This is thanks to a joint campaign by the Brandenburg Nature Conservation Fund and the Barnim Nature Park, which jointly renatured this rare habitat on the border of Berlin and Brandenburg, so that the Eichwerder moor meadows are recovering more and more.

The circular hike of approx. 7 km from Lübars via the Eichwerder Steg and Schildow back to Lübars is suitable for the whole family. There are beautiful viewpoints over the moor along the way.

Refreshments: Gastronomy in Lübars and Schildow, farm shop in Lübars.
