The air base Nörvenich is a military airfield near Nörvenich in the district Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia.
He was initially planned for use by the British Royal Air Force (RAF Nörvenich) as another so-called clutch station in addition to the RAF Geilenkirchen, RAF Wildenrath, RAF Brüggen and RAF Laarbruch.
Thus, in the 1950s, newly built RAF bases were designated, which were located near the border with the Netherlands and thus as far as possible from the then inner German border.Source: Wikipedia

The area can be seen from a few points. A tour around the area is recommended for air force fans.
The size of the beacon right next to the driveway is impressive. The beacon is close to the fence, along which a tarred bike path runs.
